Brand new poster out for Assassin’s Creed movie





BY AMIT BARAN ROY   |   After a mesmerizing reveal of the first official trailer of Assassin’s Creed movie, Ubisoft Motion Pictures and 20th Century Fox have launched the first official poster for the movie that features Michael Fassbender standing high on the top of a tall tower with the hidden blades out and preparing to take the ‘leap of Faith’. The film is all set to premiere on December 21st this year where Michael Fassbender plays the dual role of Callum Lynch as well his 15th century Spanish assassin ancestor Aguilar. Director Justin Kurzel, who also directed the 2015 critically acclaimed movie ‘Macbeth’, says

I think the game is so cinematic and it is so extraordinary, and the visuals in the game are so striking,

It was, 'How do you embrace that and at the same time provide something different?'”

In this movie, Callum Lynch gets to discover his 15th century ancestral memories using a similar adaptation of Animus from the Creed games. Animus is a technology which unlocks genetic memories using which Lynch gains his ancestral knowledge and assassination skills to take on a ‘powerful Templar organization’ of present day. There are also lots of talks going on the fact that which all Assassin characters from the games gets to feature in the movie. We already know that Jeremy Irons is playing the role of Alan Rikkin- leader of the Templars. There are speculations whether ‘Ezio Auditore Da Firenze’, one of the most famous assassin protagonist from the gaming franchise, gets to feature in the movie or not.


Last week, 20th century Fox had revealed the first ever official trailer for the Assassin’s Creed movie. The trailer caught the attention of many gaming fans all around the world due to its exceptional cinematic glimpses; resemblance of sequences from the game like the ‘Leap of Faith’, Animus, hidden blades, air assassinations as well as the glorious present day setting. There are also reports by Eurogamer that says Ubisoft was in progress of making a “VR experience” for the movie which was being “filmed alongside the movie” by Fox Studios and Practical Magic. Reports by The Tracking board also suggests a possible sequel to the original movie with Fassbender returning as the main protagonist.
