E3 2016 Day #2 – Watch full livestream of Microsoft, Ubisoft and Sony Press Conference

Ghost Recon Wildlands, For Honor, God of War, Spiderman and more

BY AMIT BARAN ROY   |   Proceedings for Day 2 of E3 2016 are now over. Don’t be sad if you missed out anything from yesterday night’s show as you can watch the full livestream of Microsoft, Ubisoft and Sony Press Conference below. Microsoft started their briefing with the announcement of Xbox One S which is going to be the smallest xbox yet. It was followed by the co-op gameplay demo of upcoming Gears of War 4 on Limited Edition Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. Gears of War 4 will be available for Xbox One on October 11. Moving on, Microsoft showcased quite a few exclusives such as Killer Instinct, a new Forza Horizon 3, Recore gameplay, Dead Rising 4 and State of Decay 2 announcements as well as Sea of Thieves gameplay reveal. There was also Multiplayer trailers for both Scalebound and Halo Wars 2. Before concluding the press conference, Microsoft also confirmed their long rumored Project Scorpio, an upcoming 4K capable, VR ready Xbox One running on 6 Teraflops of power which will be available in next Holiday 2017.

Occupying the E3 stage next on Day 2 were Ubisoft. Personally I liked Ubisoft’s press conference the most till now, essentially because of their energy and humor on stage which was really terrifying. They made a rocking entry into the stage with an exceptional dance performance marking the reveal of Just Dance 2017 which is coming to consoles and PC this October. Quickly after that, Aisha Tyler took to the stage as E3 host for Ubisoft for the fifth consecutive time since 2012. The next reveal by Ubisoft was probably one of the most anticipated ones for this year’s E3. Guess what? Its Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands which got a release date on March 7th 2017 along with a gameplay walkthrough of over 10 minutes. Following up on that, there were other games showcased such as South Park: The Fractured But, two new developments for The Division- Survival and Underground, announcement trailers for Grow Up, Steep and Trials of Blood Dragon. Ubisoft also showed 10 minutes of Viking Campaign battle for their latest IP For Honor which is scheduled for PC and Consoles in February 14 next year. No Ubisoft press conference is complete ever without Assassin’s Creed. As we know there is no Assassin’s Creed game this year, Ubisoft wants their fans to engage in the movie that is going to be released on December 21st this year. The press conference showcased behind the scenes from the movie as well as extended gameplay for their latest AAA IP Watch Dogs 2.

Last to take the stage on Day 2 were none other than Sony. I am still pretty mesmerized by the amazing orchestral entry by Sony kicking off their press conference with the Gods of War theme song performance followed by the gameplay trailer for the same. Like Gods of War, there were few more ‘in-development’ PS4 exclusives revealed such as Days Gone, Detroit Become Human, Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding (should see how the crowd cheers as Kojima takes the stage) and Spiderman. Horizon Zero Dawn gets a gameplay trailer with a release date on February 28 2017 as well as the ‘Ship Assault’ gameplay trailer for Call of Duty Infinite Warfare was showcased too. What’s more, Sony is launching their PS VR this October 13th for $399 along with 50 playable games including Batman: Arkham VR, Final Fantasy XV and a full start to finish Resident Evil VII.
