Psyonix had teased the new mode ‘Rocket League Hoops’ that is going to be featured in the Rocket League game. Now we know that the soccer-with-rocket-cars game is bringing this basketball-themed dunk house mode in the coming month of April. According to the previously released teaser image from Psyonix, the new mode will update the goalposts in Rocket League with basketball hoops and players will have to score goals by throttling their vehicles against a jumbo sized ball to make it airborne and then going for the basket. It seems that controlling an airborne ball might not be easy and will require some expert skills to master in Rocket League.

The Rocket League Twitter account announced that the ‘Dunk House’ Basketball mode will arrive in April. The tweet post that reads ‘Break some axles in the Dunk House this April’ shows a brilliant stunt kick to slam the ball on the back board. The Dunk house consists of a big Neon basketball hoop with a backboard at the goal side. There is also a three point line present on the court indicating that players can score bonus points for shooting from a distance.

Rocket League is a physics based soccer with cars game that was released for PS4 and Microsoft Windows on July 7, 2015 and for Xbox One on Feb 17, 2016. The game developed on a budget of only $2 million has far exceeded the expectations of fans. As of Feb 26 2016, Psyonix stated that Rocket League grossed $70 million in revenues with at least 4 million units sold excluding downloads on the PlayStation system. Also two weeks back, the news of Cross platform play between Xbox One and PS4 went viral (though it may take some time). Whats more, the game will also be ported out to OS X and Linux some time in 2016.

Heads Up: Rocket League is currently available for $19.99 on Steam and you can get the Supersonic DLC pack at $3.99 also from Steam.
