Two new Fast and Furious DLC cars coming to Rocket League

BY AMIT BARAN ROY   |   Rocket League is continuing their tie-ups with Universal Studios to bring two new cars from the popular franchise ‘Fast And Furious’ which will be available for North America and Europe by October 11. This is in addition to the already released The Fate of the Furious DLC pack in April which featured the Ice Charger vehicle, a Dodge Charger driven by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) in The Fate of the Furious movie released in April 2017, with exclusive wheels and six decals: Clean Cut, Crazy Sandwich, Flames, Rakugaki, Rally, and CCCXL. However, the upcoming two new cars are based on the earlier movies of the franchise. We get the ‘1970 Dodge Charger R/T’ from The Fast and the Furious(2001) and the ‘1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34’ from the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious(2003). In order to tease the fans with these two new gorgeous cars in the Supersonic Acrobatic soccer arena, Psyonix has released a short trailer too.

Both the cars will come with a new set of wheels and six unique decals. The Dodge Charger comes with Alameda Twin, Flames, Good Graces, Rally, Sinclair, and Wheelman; whereas the Nissan Skyline comes with 2Bold, 2Cool, 2Tuff, Clean Cut, The Clutch, and Home Stretch. Each car pack will be available separately for $2 across all platforms. Though fancy and gorgeous enough, these cars are nothing but only a cosmetic addition to the game and won’t give any sort of advantage to anyone over the competition. There are other game modes, environments and features available that are free for all players across all platforms.

The continued muscle car’s appearance in Rocket League give signs of a growing partnership between Psyonix and Universal Studios which in turn can be a good platform for future add-ons. Psyonix is getting into a habit of releasing cars from famous films as part of DLC which is good for fans. Previously in 2015, they have released the Back to the Future DLC pack, which let fans drive Doc Brown’s time-traveling DeLorean with flaming wheels. Last year, the studio also added the Batmobile from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Heads Up: Rocket League is available for $19.99 on Steam.
