Titanfall 2 to get a release date roughly 3 weeks from Battlefield 1

Release window spans from September 30 to November 11

BY AMIT BARAN ROY   |   It is already known that Battlefield 1 is set for a release date on October 21 this year. On the other hand, Titanfall 2, an upcoming massive multiplayer first person shooter game by Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts is supposed to get a release date too this year. But that release date is almost confirmed by EA today which may fall anytime within 3 weeks from the release of Battlefield 1.

At the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2016 Global Technology Conference today, EA Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen said that the game will come out roughly 3 weeks from Battlefield 1. But it wasn’t clear whether the game will get a release date three weeks before or after the launch of Battlefield 1. Therefore, we can assume that Titanfall 2 release window may span from September 30 to November 11 considering the fact that Battlefield 1 is releasing on October 21st.

Jorgensen also mentioned that EA is “not uncomfortable” by the fact that both the games are getting a release date around Activision’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which is scheduled for launch on November 4th. He is confident that EA will “come from both sides in the quarter” in this matter.

On being asked about such close proximity regarding the launch of both Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2, Jorgensen reiterated that EA is not at all worried about both the FPS games being released so close to each other. According to him, the two FPS games target different kinds of audience and will not hinder each other’s sales in any way.

Recently, Battlefield 1 got its reveal trailer which became one of the most liked videos on Youtube site and effectively the No. 1 most liked trailer which has gathered over 1.7 million likes and 36 million plus views since its reveal on 6th May.
