Call of Duty Black Ops 3 global eSports reveal at Gamescom 2015

BY AMIT BARAN ROY   |   Activision has already confirmed the third installment of Call of Duty Black Ops series, i.e Black Ops III, which is a sequel to the 2012 Call of Duty: Black Ops II in its official reveal trailer released on 26th April 2015. The game is being developed by Treyarch and will be available for PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 6, 2015.

The Sony Playstation E3 conference has revealed a 13 minute cooperative campaign with the cyber core tutorial and an extended cut from the ‘Ramses Station’ giving us a first hand feel of the dark and harsh future setting of the game. An advanced group of black ops soldiers along with cutting edge military technology as well as the involvement of supersoldiers defines the future combat where humanity is at a verge of robotic transformation.

  • The game is designed for a four player online co-op or solo campaign, with engrossing cinematic moments and an open arena gameplay that becomes even more stunning with the heavily modified version of the IW engine that was used in the previous installment. Players can now be completely customizable, one can select from a variety of weapons, loadouts and outfits. Air defenses are much more advanced, landscapes and mankind are more scientifically evolved as the game is set in a fictional future of 2065, 40 years after the events of Call of Duty Black Ops II.
  • Treyarch has also confirmed two Zombies storylines during the game reveal. One of the story (Shadows of Evil) deals with a group of ‘troubled individuals’ residing in the Morg City and the other (The Giant) focusses on the alternate versions of the original characters. The Zombies gameplay more or less revives the memories of Unreal Tournament.

At Gamescom 2015, Treyarch developers have shared some “exciting news and features” and a global group of competitive players have participated in a series of show matches in the global eSports reveal that took place on 5th August.

Heads Up: :- The early access for the PS4 multiplayer beta will take place on August 19-23 while the PC and Xbox One beta from August 26-30. Also the game along with the Digital Deluxe edition is available for pre-order on PS4, Xbox One and PC. With these all new exciting features as revealed in Gamescom ’15, Call of Duty Black Ops III looks promising and should deliver an absolutely marvelous campaign experience.
