“Watchout Fans”
- The Phantom Pain is a sequel to the 2014’s Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes developed by Kojima Productions for the last time. Set in 1984, the game continues from the climax of Ground Zeroes carrying the same tagline of Tactical Espionage Operations, where the mercenary leader Punished “Venom” Snake makes his way to Afghanistan during the Soviet–Afghan War and the Angola—Zaire border region in order to retaliate against the people who killed his forces and almost got him.
- The open world action stealth game features a similar gameplay as Ground Zeroes where players can navigate either by foot or vehicles such as cars and tanks, use lethal as well as non-lethal weapons such as tranquiliser darts, and snake possesses the special ability to call AI companions like Quiet, a female sniper; D-Horse, a horse that can carry more equipment; D-Walker, a fast mobile weapon platform that can provide heavy weapons support; and DD, a trained wolf to assist him in field.
