For all Mirror's Edge fans

BY ARNAV NAG   |   Mirror's Edge Catalyst looks gorgeous in the all-new gameplay trailer. It’s a first-person-action-adventure video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts.

This is a prequel to the 2008’s Mirror’s edge and was revealed at the Electronics Arts' press conference at E3 2015. The story revolves around the Origin of Faith, the protagonist.

Here’s 5 minutes of gameplay trailer from Gamescom ’15 showcasing fluid first-person movements and seamless evade-parkour-and-hit techniques of Faith:

The game’s world is desinged and developed on Frostbite 3 engine and looks beautiful with every minute details build into the world that aid players in seamlessly exploring the city called Glass. The game's Full day-night cycle and vibrant weather transitions fit in just right .

The games primary gameplay mechanics builds up on Faith’s running and parkouring ability from the previous edition which allowed her to move effortlessly through the city-scape in numerous ways using a combination of techniques such as wall run, zip line, wall climb, vaulting and sliding. This game would focus on the fighting mechanics of Faith with melee-style attacks that help her take down or evade enemies. The game may switch to a third person view when Faith is performing a finishing move somewhat like a Deus Ex combat sequence.

The game also features a unique multiplayer concept which will allow a synchronous multiplayer flow in which a players' actions in the game could affect the world for other players' games. Leaderboard for races will also be featured.

Heads Up: Faith is coming to knock you off the ground on 24th May, 2016 for Windows, Xbox One and PS4. Stay tuned for more updates on Mirror's Edge Catalyst and most importantly always have Faith. :P
