BY AMIT BARAN ROY   |   Pac-Man 256, the ghost evading and endless runner game is heading to PC and consoles on June 21st, i.e, next month. The game co-developed by Crossy Road developers Hipster Whale and 3 Sprockets was inspired by the infamous level 256 glitch of Pac-Man and was earlier released for Android and iOS in 2015. The upcoming port promises to offer lots of exclusive features such as the social sharing options, 10 unlockable themes and the special provision to play with up to 4 players through the local co-op multiplayer mode. Check out the announcement trailer below showcasing the 4X co-op multiplayer mode.

In the local co-op multiplayer mode, players will have to play together and work their way within the maze walls evading the ghosts- Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde and finish eating the dots. The game will have the infamous level 256 glitch from the handhelds and one will need to utilize the power pellets and the crazy power-ups to overpower the ghosts. Seon Rozenblum, Director at 3 Sprockets says,

We have really enjoyed working with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and Hipster Whale on PAC-MAN 256 for mobile, and having the opportunity to ship it on the latest generation of consoles and PC is the icing on the cake for us! We can’t wait to see how much fun players have with it”
