Need For Speed Payback- PC crashes, errors, DirectX issues, stuttering, freezing, audio bugs and other performance fixes

Need For Speed Payback is finally out for PCs and Consoles worldwide. Developed by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts, it is the twenty-third installment in Need For Speed franchise. As expected by its system requirements, the game is pretty heavy for medium scale rigs and even the GTX 1080 beasts are having a hard time to hit the constant 60 FPS at Ultra settings. There are frame drops and occasional lag spikes which caused the game to get a lower review score. Although EA technical support team is constantly helping the community to fix the reported issues, below are some of the workarounds for the common issues that are faced by many players. Before moving down to the fixes, have a quick look at the system requirements for the game. We recommend that you meet the system requirements as close as possible to have an enriching experience with the game.

Disable Windows game mode: Press WINDOWS key -> Click on the "Settings" button -> Click on "Gaming" -> Click on "Game Mode" -> Disable it -> Close the window.
