1. Tekken 7 PC- Crash at startup/ CTD/ Game not responding/ APPCRASH/ Black screen fix:-

  • Update your Nvidia and AMD drivers to the latest versions.
  • Disable antivirus/firewall or add game to the exception list of the antivirus software.
  • ‘Verify Integrity of Game Cache on Steam’ which may fix any errors due to game files corruption.
  • D3D crash- device lost:- First make sure that you are not running the game using Integrated graphic card. Make sure you GPU drivers are up to date. Try Windowed mode if issue persists. Loading an older save version may also resolve this issue.
  • Disable all recording softwares like Fraps, MSI AfterBurner, D3DGear etc. They may conflict with your DirectX Direct3D settings resulting in a crash.
  • If your game is crashing while going full screen, try playing in windowed mode. Also disable Steam Cloud.
  • Black screen issue- Well this issue can be due to lot of reasons. First of all, you should check that the in-game resolution matches the resolution supported by your display device so that there should not be any conflict. If you are using HDMI, try unplugging the HDMI cable from TV and launch the game. Wait a few mins before replugging the HDMI cable back into the TV. Also running the game in windowed mode can help.
  • Registry clean using CCleaner can also fix some of the crashes. You can download CCleaner from here.
  • For any DLL error or APPCRASH issue, it is recommended to do a clean install of Directx. Or, you can download the missing DLLs from here and paste them in the game directory.

2. Tekken 7 PC: Communication Error fix-

This error can occur when you try to play online. Few things you may need to do to resolve this. Restart router and run the game as admin. Disable Antivirus/firewall. Make sure the following ports are open.
TCP: 80, 443, 3478-3480
UDP: 3478-3479

3. Tekken 7 PC- Low FPS/ Stuttering/ freezes/ lags fixes:-

  • Updating your Nvidia and AMD GPU drivers is a must.
  • If you are facing optimization issues, severe lags or stutters; you can try turning down shadows, MSAA and adjust other graphics settings. Updated GPU drivers is mandatory.
  • For AMD users, disable Raptr from task manager. Disable any other intensive applications that may be running in background. Also try setting ‘Tessellation mode’ to 8x/16x and 'Texture Filtering Quality' to Performance from your latest Crimson edition Radeon software to fix frame rate drops.
  • For Nvidia users, go into your control panel 3d settings. Make sure that ‘Power Management Mode’ option should be set to ‘Prefer Maximum Performance’.
  • If you are experiencing screen flickering or frame-pacing issues, disable Crossfire/SLI and run the game using a single GPU. Also, disable Steam Overlay by right clicking the game in Steam Library and then go to Game Properties.
  • Remove Blurry Effect- Find your config file at user/ AppData/ Local/ TekkenGame/ Saved/ Config/ WindowsNoEditor. Open the file ‘scalability.ini’. Add the following entries and restart the game.
    - [PostProcessQuality@2]

    - [PostProcessQuality@3]
  • To remove film grain, add the below line in the same scalability.ini and save changes.
    - r.Tonemapper.GrainQuantization=0
  • Turn off all overlaying softwares and disable any recording softwares like Fraps, D3DGear, MSI Afterburner etc. Disable ShadowPlay.
  • If your PC is getting overheated, try keeping the Vsync ON while lowering all other settings. Disable any kind of overclocking.
  • Disable third party background apps and set High Priority for the game in Task Manager.

4. Tekken 7 PC- Game crashes at Customization mode:-

There are reports that the game keeps crashing at different moments while in Customization mode. The only fix for this now is to play in full screen mode instead of borderless mode.

5. Tekken 7 PC- No Cutscene sound:-

If you are unable to hear sound during cutscenes, try restarting game as admin. Update your sound drivers. If external devices are plugged in, try unplugging them and check. Finally, try to use a different output sound device.

6. Tekken 7 PC- Can’t change language:-

If you are unable to change the language from the in-game settings, you can change it from Steam. Navigate to Steam library > Right click on the game > Properties > Language and change there.
